LiDAR Profiling
Laser profiling is a technique used to acquire a cloud of three-dimensional points in terrain with the use of LiDAR (Light Detecting and Ranging) sensors. These sensors can be fitted into aircraft or vehicles or used as static (land) devices. The acquired data allows users to obtain digital terrain models (DTM), digital surface models (DSM), level curves, canopy height models (CHM) and more. The products made from these points can be used across a wide range of projects and studies in sectors such as transport, renewable energy, urban planning and hydrogeological risks. SAI employs aeronautic and vehicular sensors to meet the most demanding requirements of laser profiling and generate cartographic products with high resolution and accuracy, complying with all national and international standards.
